Islamic educational resources for incarcerated Muslims
Our goal is to make reliable, respectful, free Islamic study materials more accessible to incarcerated Muslims through independently usable lessons and, where permitted, printed resources.
Program status: This initiative is in planning. Akh World Da'wah Foundation is not yet accepting inmate enrollments, sending educational correspondence, promising deliveries, or providing legal representation. The Illinois incorporation process has been reported as pending.
What we are preparing
Free self-study lessons
Our Learning Library includes four introductory courses: Aqeedah & Tawheed, Islamic worship, understanding Islam, and Islamic character. These online materials are currently available for independent study.
Explore all courses →Printable handbooks
Four PDF study handbooks are available online. Families and approved correspondents may download them, review institutional policies, and determine whether printed educational material can be sent.
Find the free handbooks →Correspondence framework
We are designing a future process for receiving appropriate educational requests, identifying eligible materials, and working within each facility's mail and publication rules.
Referral information
We may later publish general resources about how to locate qualified legal help. We do not offer legal advice, representation, grievance filing, or case review through this page.
Free correspondence starter package
Download planning worksheets, a sample chaplain letter, a six-week study schedule and institution mail-policy checklist. This is not an active enrollment application.

Until the program is established, the most useful immediate step is to access our free handbooks and check the correctional institution's current incoming-mail, publication, sender, and print-material requirements. Rules can differ by facility and may change.
- Check whether printed pages or books are allowed and whether they must come directly from an approved publisher or vendor.
- Confirm limits on paper, binding, religious materials, and number of pages before sending anything.
- Never submit another person's inmate number, address, legal documents, or sensitive case details through an unsecured public form.
- For urgent legal deadlines, contact an appropriately licensed lawyer or legal-aid service directly; this educational initiative is not a substitute.
Independent study resources
Free access; no payment or account required. These are introductory educational resources, not a recognized academic credential or personalized religious ruling.
