Volunteer & Educational Outreach
Helping communities access educational materials about Islam through careful planning, trustworthy volunteers, and respectful relationships.

Ways volunteers may help in the future
Educational materials
Review readability, assist with printing and accessible formatting, and organize the four free course handbooks. Religious instruction should be reviewed by qualified scholars.
Community outreach
Support educational events, welcome visitors, and connect questions to reliable learning resources without pressure or discrimination.
Correspondence support
Help maintain approved publication and mailing checklists, subject to each institution's rules. No volunteer should contact incarcerated individuals on the foundation's behalf until the program is authorized.
Administration
Help document expenses, organize resources, and maintain responsible reporting and oversight procedures.
Volunteer standards
- Respect and consent: Serve people respectfully, regardless of background or religious belief. Never pressure participation.
- Privacy: Collect only needed information once an authorized process exists. Do not ask for prison IDs, case facts, medical information, or sensitive records through ordinary email.
- Boundaries: Volunteers do not provide legal advice, claim to represent anyone, or promise release assistance.
- Financial stewardship: No volunteer may solicit or collect money on the foundation's behalf without written authorization and appropriate safeguards.
- Safeguarding: Follow screening, supervision, facility rules, incident reporting, and applicable child/vulnerable-person protections before starting activities.
- Accuracy: Cite Qur'an and hadith references carefully; refer disputed or specialized rulings to qualified scholars.
